It is a useful object for the person, a handy addition to the Alessi Encyclopaedia, this “Savon du Chef” was designed by the young Fred Gooris with the advice of Fabrice Leclerc. Just rub the steel “soap” between your hands under cold running water for a few seconds and you’ll have soft, odourless skin. “Savon du Chef” also acts as a nail-cleaner: the top part, smooth and not sharp, removes food residue without any risk of getting cut or of hurt.

Following the typical minimalist approach that features in all Jasper Morrison's work, this design is an attempt to reduce the "cutlery-object" to its barest essence, its purest and most customary form and what might tentatively be called its definitive form, and deliberately stripped of all stylistic value and - perhaps precisely because of this - clearly recognisable as Morrison's work.

The “acacia” honey dipper is part of the collection of “Objets-Bijoux”. “acacia” is the result of research carried out by its designer, Miriam Mirri, into the sweet world of honey. Her studies led her to design an object suitable for use with all of the different kinds of honey on the market. “acacia” captures and serves the honey thanks to its unusual shape, which comprises a spoon and a facetted ball. During the design stage, Miriam Mirri was inspired by the structure of the honeycomb, evident in the hexagons on the ball.

The “Bulla” bottle opener is designed by Valerio Sommella for Alessi. This project is part of the “Objet Bijoux” collection. “Bulla” is the result of reflection into the adoption of natural shapes that do not immediately reveal their origins but which, even without explicitly announcing it, may have a purpose. Bulla is like a smooth shell, egg-shaped with a long opening: the bottle opener is compact, its smooth polished surface pleasing to the touch. The black leather cord completes the object and allows “Bulla” to be hung up in the kitchen or enables you to take it wherever you go, even on a beach among the shells.

The Op-la Tray/Table designed by Jasper Morrison is a versatile object that combines two functions in one product. Op-la is composed of two distinct parts: the round tray and the stainless steel base that turns it into a small table, for quietly enjoying the food and drinks previously served. Functional and flexible, useful for a variety of uses and practical for solving the tricky problem of storing such a large tray after use.
